Wide-out is a weak position in this draft class, but at its top is a very underrated player:
1. Limas Sweed [Texas]
Tall and fast, the perfect combination make the lean Sweed this year's Calvin Johnson
2. DeSean Jackson [California]
Jacksons' lack of size limits him as a wide receiver, but as an athlete his return skills are unmatched, making him a golden commodity in this draft.
3. Early Doucet [LSU]
Doucet is small, but his speed and good hands make up for that. He projects as an excellent 3rd receiver/possession wide-out.
4. Devin Thomas [Michigan State]
Thomas is an underrated player this year. He has both the ability to run a great route for that short reception, and run a streak down the field as a deep threat.
5. James Hardy [Indiana]
I'm on the fence about Hardy. His size is great, but his speed is lacking. You have to project him as a possibility to convert to tight end.

What about Malcom Kelly from Oklahoma?
Sweed is nowhere near Calvin Johnson's league.
Kelly's injuries scare the crap out of me. His jump to the NFL looks just like one of those guys trying to cash in as quick as possible before suffering a huge injury.
