Way to Early NFL Draft Rankings
Runningbacks
1. Darren McFadden [Arkansas]
McFadden is the top player in terms of talent in the upcoming NFL draft. He is a complete
player in terms of receiving out of the backfield. His speed and strength are unmatched.
2. Jonathon Stewart [Oregon]
Assuming he comes out as a junior, Stewart's size makes him a perfect fit for the NFL. He is
the best power back in the draft and can be used in any situation in the NFL
3. Rashard Mendenhall [Illinois]
Many question Mendenhall's ability to carry the load at the NFL level because he was only the premier back at Illinois for one year, but he is easily the most explosive back in the draft.
4. Jamaal Charles [Texas]
You could make the arguement that Charles is the purest runner in the draft. In space or in between the tackles, he is extremely explosive. However, he is unpolished as a complete back and there are question marks about his blocking and receiving ability.
5. Chris Johnson [East Carolina]
I'm really big on Chris Johnson. He easily has the best speed in possibly the entire draft. A team could use him as a kick/punt returner in addition to a break-away back on offense. His 4.24 second 40-yard dash impressed many at the Combine.
