Rich Rodriguez fires all of Michigan's staff under Carr

Only 72 hours after being installed as Michigan's new head football coach, Rich Rodriguez made an impact. In his first official transition in the coaching staff, Rich Rodriguez fired every Michigan coach.

The staff of Campbell, defensive coordinator Ron English, offensive coordinator Mike DeBord, Steve Stripling (defensive line), Andy Moeller (offensive line), Fred Jackson (running backs), Scot Loeffler (quarterbacks) Steve Szabo (linebackers) and Vance Bedford (defensive backs), may not be back at Michigan.

Rodriguez did say at his introductory press conference that he does not like to keep coaches, but "re-hire" them after interviewing them personally. There have been no reports of this happening.

The move may be a little harsh, but it needed to happen. A near complete overhaul of staff needed to take place, but I'm hopeful that a few coaches will be re-hired, especially Fred Jackson and Scot Loeffler.
