Ok, maybe not, but 0-4 is not good.
The Panic Button has been pressed.
We've lost to the Royals (Broomed) and Chicago (Ozzied).
Our best player has been Clete (Who?) Thomas (Who?), but we'll get to that later.
We're averaging a pretty horrific 2.5 runs per game. And unfortunately, there isn't much of a way to fix it. In 3 of the 4 games, we've had no trouble getting guys on base and into scoring position, making our only hope waiting for clutch hitting to come around.
The offseason additions haven't been great either, outside of Renteria. Miguel seems to have caught the injury bug and Jacque Jones (and his damn orange bat, who the hell uses an orange bat) seems to be the worst player in the history of baseball.
I mentioned the injury bug earlier: I'm pretty sure you would be better off being on the Titanic then you would be in the Tigers clubhouse at this point.
I'm sort of still optimistic about things. If they can be around 8-12 by the 20 game mark, I'm willing to give an early season mulligan, due to the injuries of two key pieces (Granderson and Rodney, I'd be willing to count Cabrera's if he was going to miss any time).
Now onto good things, such as Clete Thomas.
Who?
Clete Thomas is on the Tigers' roster while Curtis Granderson is on the disabled list and Thomas has stepped up his game. He spent the majority of his time last year at double-A Erie (Go SeaWolves). The Tigers drafted him out of college from Auburn University (guess he didn't want to stop being a Tiger).
