Its been a tough year for the University of Michigan basketball team, especially for freshman guard Manny Harris but this past week has been a breakthrough.
The Wolverines have won three straight games for the first time this season with wins over Penn State, Iowa, and Ohio State.
Yesterday's win over the Buckeyes at Crisler Arena was the perfect ending to a great week of basketball for the Wolverines.
It appears that the Wolverines have finally found the perfect rotation and combination of players. This team has the potential to reach the tournament next year, with role plays like Ekpe Udoh, David Merritt, Kelvin Grady, and Zach Gibson performing in limited minutes.
However, the most important player for the Wolverines has been guard Manny "the Man" Harris.
Harris has averaged 16 points and four rebounds this year, leading the Wolverines. Harris' good play has had many analysts taking notice, allowing Harris to take Big Ten Player of the Week honors for this past week.
Along with Big Ten Player of the Week, Harris is also the winner of the SportingDetroit Player of the Week award for this week.

As one die hard Big Blue fan, I am full of glee that finally there is a glimmer of hope on the hardwood at Crisler. May "The Man" lead the team for years to come (at least three) and hopefully Beilein can continue Amaker's excellent work to keep the program clean, recruit hardworking players, and keep beating the Ohio State's in the Big Ten. Maybe we can dominate MSU one day soon in b-ball like we do at the Big House.
