Wolverines show up Florida in Capital One Bowl

Michigan sent Lloyd Carr out on a bang January first.

In its first bowl win since 2002, Michigan took down the defending BCS champion Florida Gators in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.

It may have been an ugly game, including 2 fumbles by the always surehanded Mike Hart, but the Wolverines 41-35 saw through and held back Heisman winner Tim Tebow.

Now as we look to the off-season, the Wolverines have tons of momentum. Michigan enters the heart of recruiting season on a high note, and the win over Florida is sure to draw many more looks from recruits.

However, one aspect of the Wolverines' future is still up in the air. Freshman quarterback Ryan Mallet has not yet released whether he will transfer from Michigan or stay at the school. There have been rumors a plenty since Rich Rodriguez was hired as Michigan head coach about Mallet transfering.
