And its time to make a move.
We're stood pat with the same roster long enough. MAKE A TRADE.
If you are content with eastern conference championships, then this article is not for you. Quit Reading.
Its time for Joe Dumars to make a move and get a good small forward and a bigtime post presence. We are an utterly sad jump shooting team. We have been in the bottom 5 of the NBA in points in the paint for the past 5 years. You are going to say, "EY YO, WE WON A CHAMPIONSHIP DURING THAT SPAN". Well thats when you were a lock-down defensive team, now you are an average defensive team.
2007-2008 Detroit Pistons: 90.3 OPPG :: 97.1 PPG
2003-2004 Detroit Pistons: 84.0 OPPG:: 90.1 PPG
The reason that upper echelon Eastern conference teams and the majority of western conference teams beat us is because we can't score. You have to score when you don't play defense at the same caliber that the championship team did.
Its time for the Tayshaun Prince experience to end. Tayshaun is way too inconsistent on offense and has really struggled on defense since the departure of Ben Wallace.
Its also time for the joke of a post presence that is considered Rasheed Wallace. We need to get a dominate low-post presence. Rasheed Wallace cannot be a sometimes inside player. He shoots a relatively high percentage from outside, but we need a high percentage inside down the stretch--a person we can throw the ball too and atleast get to the free throw line.
Its time for Joe Dumars to think outside the box and make another trade, maybe I'll help him.
Trade: Tayshaun Prince and Amir Johnson for Gerald Wallace (Charlotte Bobcats).
Wallace has been a scoring threat and a good defensive player on his own.
Gerald Wallace: 21.4 PPG, 6.2 RPG 3.4 APG 2.2 SPG
Tayshaun Prince: 13.1 PPG 4.8 RPG 2.9 APG 0.4 SPG
Trade: Tayshaun Prince and Amir Johnson for Zach Randolph (New York Knicks).
An MSU product, Randolph provides scoring in stretches in the paint.
Randolph's stats: 17.1 PPG, 10.2 RPG, 2.1 BPG
And Finally, the most controversial of trades.
Trade: Tayshaun Prince and First Round Pick for Ron Artest (Sacramento Kings).
And yes, I did say that. And yes, that Artest.
I've been a fan of Ron Artest the basketball player (not Ron Artest the person) for a long time now. His combination of offense and lockdown defense are unmatched in the NBA.

No way would the Bobcats trade Gerald Wallace for Tay and Amir
Why wouldn't they.. They aren't going anywhere soon and Emeka Okafor wants out after this year, they'll need a big man: Amir Johnson is a big man.
Amir is not that good and who knows what with Tay. Gerald Wallace would be a nice addition, but let's be serious; he might be getting older(in 7th season), but he still has a lot of seasons to come- Charlotte's gonna keep him. Personally, a deal with Ron Artest wouldn't be that bad.
Charlotte won't keep him because he is relatively young. That team is more then 5 years away from contention.
And Amir Johnson is decent, see last night's game against the 76'ers. 15 minutes, 2 blocks, 5 points, 5 rebounds.
Are you kidding me? Rasheed Wallace is not a post presence, hes one of the best on the low block. You know nothing about basketball, go home.
