Its been a busy day for Dave Dombrowski and the Detroit Tigers front office. Earlier today, the Tigers sent right hander Jose Capellan to the Rockies for RHP Denny Bautista. Bautista was 2-1 with a 12.46 ERA in nine games for Colorado this year, while Capellan's numbers were no more impressive then that. However, Bautista's experience at the MLB level rises his value in trades.

However, in a much bigger story today was actually a rumor. According to FOXSPORTS.net's Ken Rosenthal reported that the Tigers and Marlins were working on a blockbuster deal that would
send thirdbaseman Miguel Cabrera(left) and pitcher Dontrelle Willis to the Tigers for major prospects Cameron Maybin and Andrew Miller alongside other lesser name prospects. I wouldn't be a fan of this deal for a few reasons. I feel that you should let your prospects develop more rather then make trades that improve a strength already. I feel that the Tigers still have serious issues to address in the rotation and in the bullpen. The weakness of this team for 3/4 of the year was the bullpen, and we return nearly the exact same pen.
