ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit is reporting that the University of Michigan will announce current LSU coach Les Miles as their new head coach next week, following the SEC championship game.
If this is the case, Les Miles will have to pay a roughly $1.5 million dollar amount to LSU because of language in his contract prohibiting his flight to Michigan.
Les Miles has served as an assistant at Michigan, Colorado, and Oklahoma State, and played under Bo Schembecher during his time at Michigan.
It has been widely speculated ever since Lloyd Carr announced his retirement of who his replacement would be. It appears that Michigan athletic director Bill Martin's number one candidate has been Les Miles from the start.
Also, in the same report current Georgia Tech interim head coach John Tenuta may come with Miles to Michigan, serving as defensive coordinator.
The Validity of these Reports may be questioned, as they are reports that have not been confirmed.
